WEBSITE REDESIGN
THE ASK
After serving as Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor of the Tufts Observer, my friend Aaron and I became multi-media directors of the magazine. Our job was to enhance the Observer's media presence and transform the organization into something more than a bi-weekly print magazine. We recruited a production team and curated a list of video projects we'd complete in the spring semester, starting with an introductory video to the publication. Our other big task was to redesign and flesh out the website, which mostly consisted of text. Our vision was to digitize and feature the magazine's videos, social channels, artwork, photography, and written content.
THE OUTPUT
With the Editor-in-Chief, Web Director, and Creative Directors of the Tufts Observer, Aaron and I redesigned the publication's website to make it more accessible, sleek, and compatible with multimedia projects (videos, photographs, podcasts, infographics). The new website features a responsive interface, an accessible structure, a design to reflect the magazine's aesthetic, parallax articles, and platforms for various visual displays. I integrated the publication's social sites to create a holistic digital experience and strengthen the brand's identity.
